Dissecting the Linda Ikeji - Wizkid spat

Social media is all aflame with news of the latest celeb beef and it is shaping up to be the grandslam of the year. Africa's most successful blogger vs one of Africa's most successful music acts - he's number one on the UK charts remember.
The genesis of the matter has nothing to do with unpaid house rents or anybody's pussy, like Linda herself alluded to, it began with a different artist.
She said: " I was a huge Wizkid fan. The only song I danced harder to than his 'Dance For Me' track was Fuse ODG's 'Antenna and Kiss Daniel & DJ Shabzy's Raba. So, no, I had no dislike for Wizkid. But about a year ago, I noticed his indirect snide remarks at me...and when some other music star beefed with me, Wizkid showed his support and made disrespectful comments. That was when I noticed he had issues with me".

Remember the story she did on Olamide having a love child and his response? Remember Wizkid sided with Olamide?
Here are the tweets.

Things however heated up recently when Linda carried the news of Wizkid's unpaid rent, she was only doing her job, news like this is only part of another day at the office not minding who is involved, Wizkid fired back and it's been back and forth between the pair.
One observation that sticks out like a sore thumb is the fact that since they have been going at each other, Linda seems to have ignored all news of Wizkid, how could anyone miss Drake's Collabo with him? Linda didn't carry the news and going by online chatter, folks noticed. The One Dance track topped UK charts and again Linda ignored it completely. It is needless to say that Linda's business thrives on the business of celebrities, her business model is simple, give readers juicy morsels on who is doing what. The question is this, which is more important, the message or the messenger? Who needs the other more?
Rude and gravely uncourteous Wizkid may have been but business is business and the show must go on. She has handled the matter with admirable grace thus far but she can't possibly ignore everyone she feuds with. Beef is part of the job and without beef, no gala, without gala no chop so diafour, SHARE THE GALA SHARE THE BOOZE!
