Giant sinkhole opens up on Californian road after heavy rainfall



A cop filmed the moment a giant, 20ft sinkhole opened up on a street, the area had already been cordoned off at the time he filmed the incredible incident.
A police spokesman said: "It is unknown what exactly caused the damage but it is likely due to the recent rains. The street fell into the sewage line.
So far about 12ft by 15ft section of roadway has collapsed, and it is approximately 15 to 20feet deep.
The roadway is expected to be closed for an extended amount of time for repair."
The road collapse took place in the city of Madera in California, USA.
